September Newsletter
3 Oct 2019
Dear Parents/Carers,
It’s that time of year when we have to say ‘goodbye’ to the children who are starting school and ‘hello and welcome’ to the new families who are joining us.
We are always sad to see the ‘big’ children leave us – they have been a fantastic group, we will miss them all, many thanks for all the lovely gifts and cards you have sent to the team, some of the messages in the cards have made us feel emotional (in a happy way!) and very appreciative that you think so much of the nursery and the staff team.
We are also going to say ‘goodbye’ to Kelly Bainbridge who has decided that following her maternity leave she won’t be returning to work, she is going to stay at home with Effie for a bit longer.
We are delighted to welcome Helen Wright and Sally Norris onto our staff team, both of them are highly experienced and qualified nursery practitioners, Sally we be working in Pre-school for 3 days and Helen in both rooms over 2 days.
On Friday 27th September we will be taking part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for Macmillan cancer support FAKE IT – OR BAKE IT! We will be selling cakes from 8.00 am in the morning, a perfect opportunity to stock up on your way to work for your coffee break! Then serving cakes tea and coffee in the Pre-school room from 4.00pm. We would be really grateful for donations of cakes to sell. If you are home baking your donations, please can you email a list of ingredients used for us to label the cakes, if you are sending in shop bought cakes please send in original packaging? Cakes can be dropped off on the Thursday afternoon or the Friday morning, thank-you in advance for your support.
Please can you provide your child with a pair of wellies for outdoor play? We store them on the decking. You can take them home each day if you wish, it is also a good time to check that your child’s green/yellow bag contains an appropriate size and season change of clothes including socks for your child.
Over the School holidays the car-park has been more accessible, next week school is open therefore please do not park in the school car park, this is a condition of our lease, please access the nursery through the small gate and follow the fenced path round the perimeter of the school building. Please can you tell anyone who may be collecting your child about the car park and to park considerately in the surrounding streets?
Once again many, many thanks for all the support and nice things you say about our nursery, I think the staff team are amazing, but its lovely to hear that you think so too.
Any queries about any of the above please email or give us a ring,
Best wishes,
Julie
