Our Ethos
At Fledglings we view our nursery as a valuable community resource. We believe that the children in our care should always feel happy, secure and loved. Children learn best in an environment that is stimulating, nurturing and above all fun!
Everyone here is valued for their unique personality and the skills that they bring to our setting.
Highly Trained Practitioners
Highly trained practitioners value children’s achievements and are sensitive to their needs, whatever the weather we like to be outside digging, splashing, running, jumping, building, climbing, laughing and learning.
We adopt a child-centred, play based approach where children are encouraged to develop their creativity, explore and become independent learners.
At Fledglings children are treated as individuals and are offered opportunities regardless of gender, religion, culture or disability.
With encouragement and support all our children are able to embark on their learning journey through the Early Years Foundation Stage, develop their potential, nurture and develop a ‘Love of Learning’.
We are also proud to work as Associate Partners with Stockport’s Early Years Improvement Team sharing ideas and expertise to support other nurseries.
